Review & Certification
Program Overview
Review & Certification is the final training in the teacher training pathway. In this highly individualized one-on-one training, you and your mentor will explore your progress to this point, and plan next steps for your ongoing development.
Upon successful completion of Review & Certification, you will be listed on the East Coast Mindfulness website as a Certified MBSR Teacher.
Prerequisites
- Completion of Mentorship Cycle Three
NOTE: Your mentor and you may decide that teaching additional cycles of MBSR and/or additional mentoring before certification would benefit your teaching.
Required Technology and Preparation:
- High-speed internet connection
- Please, no phones
- Ensure that your computer is situated on a stable surface (instead of resting on your lap, etc.)
- Video and microphone capability (so that you can be seen and heard)
- A place for practice that allows for being undisturbed
- Current version of Zoom installed
Before applying for Review & Certification, you will have practiced, reiterated, and refined your MBSR teaching to the degree that you and your mentor feel that you are ready for culminating self-reflection and dialogue with your mentor. You will have taught at least three MBSR courses, and created/refined your original MBSR class plans, student materials, and audio practice recordings during mentorship cycles.
